Catholic Women’s League (CWL)

The CWL is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the People of God. The primary objectives of the ministry are to promote the role of women in the Church and society and promote a Catholic worldview in Canada.
 

Our objectives are:

To achieve individual and collective  spiritual development;
To promote the teachings of the Catholic Church;
To exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life;
To protect the sanctity of human life;
To enhance the human dignity of all people everywhere;
To enhance the role of women in the Church and in society;
To uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world;
To contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.
 

Who can be involved?

Any Catholic woman of faith age 16 and older.
 

Approximate time commitment:

Meetings are held monthly, for about 2 hours, from September to June plus time devoted to special events or projects that the member is willing to participate in.
