Knights of Columbus, Council #11752

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic male organization committed to assist the parish priest in all Church activities. Originally chartered as a fraternal benefit society assisting orphans and widows, the Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare and public relief works.

Objectives:

  • To provide assistance to the pastor for all Church activities;
  • To provide fellowship among members;
  • To aid the cause of religion;
  • To perform charitable, educational and patriotic works for the benefit of their fellow men and their nations;
  • To provide a system of fraternal insurance to care for members and their families.

Membership

The pastor is the Chaplain of the local council of the Order. St. Leonard membership is open to any Catholic male in good standing with the Church living in the surrounding area.

Time Commitment

The Council meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, except in July and August. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. for an hour and a half duration, followed by fellowship. Attendance is voluntary. Members can also volunteer for various projects in which the Council is involved.
